I love this litter! My cats took to it the first day it was introduced, and they're both seniors. I only flush their solid waste because I don't want to risk clogging the pipes in the apartment complex 😅. And I never thought I'd be able to say that cat litter smells amazing, but here we are. It's vanilla scented, and doesn't even stink after they pee in the box and/or it's sitting in a bag waiting to be taken to the trash (I'm in MN and it's below zero and I don't bring trash out unless I'm leaving. Yeah, I know: lazy. 😆) I no longer smell cat urine when I come into the apartment, and two of the 4 cat boxes are in the entryway. It Clumps very solidly, and you'll need a metal scraper or metal scoop to get under the clump and free it from the bottom of the litter box, then gently shake it in order to get the pieces of litter off that aren't fully committed to the clump to fall off. By all means: give this a chance. You won't be disappointed.

I was so tired of stepping on tiny grains of clay litter all over my house, so I switched to this tofu version. The difference is night and day. It clumps really firmly and doesn't turn into a muddy mess at the bottom of the box. The best part? It actually smells like vanilla/soy rather than chemicals, and it handles odors better than anything else I’ve tried. It’s so much easier to scoop, and I love that it’s biodegradable. It’s a bit of a splurge, but worth it for a cleaner floor.

It really is great. No gluey gross grey mess. No dust. Easy to clean the box, flushable. My cat likes it. (The most important part.)

This has been out go to litter for years now, tofu being our preference, and this particular iteration keeping smells at bay, even with two felines running the house.

Works great, this was recommended by a friend and that had two cats. My kitten at first was like " what the hellie" but come over it and uses it mess free. No dust . No mess. No smell. No tiny itty bitty pieces scratching the floors or getting stuck to carpet

It’s expensive, but I still buy 1-2 4packs a month, because of the minimal tracking of litter outside of the box. Clumps well, my one indoor cat tolerates it. Hides the smell if you clean regularly. Will keep buying because this is the only litter like it I’ve found that doesn’t get stuck in the cats paws and tracked all over the house.

Who would have thought that this cat litter would be such a game changer. I have recommended to so many fellow cat lovers for the following reasons:1. It's clumping is excellent. It creates mini balls which absorb all urine and so easy to scoop2. It's gentle on paws. My cat is elderly and so having this soft litter helps3. It's flushable. It dissolves in the toilet which makes it easily flushable.4. It's economical. I simply cannot believe how much I get from one bag. These bags are also highly compressed for portability and storage.5. It's hygienic. Unlike pine or straw, it does not dissolve but clumps.6. It's mildly scented. Unlike commercial brands like crystals, it is not highly perfumed buy rather a subtle vanilla smell that is hardly noticeable7. It's eco-friendly.

My preferred brand of cat litter

We started using this litter after our cat had a life threatening obstruction and I needed to find something that was fragrance-free and dye-free. I also like that it has crystals that can detect blood since that was an issue for our kitty. I previously used Fresh Step with my cats for the last 20+ years. At first, I thought this tofu litter was more expensive. But it turns out that it clumps cleaner and doesn't disintegrate into a million tiny clumps when you scoop it. This means that the litter remaining in the box stays clean. All you have to do is top it off after you scoop. The #1 scoops come out really well stuck-together. The #2 dries up completely and the smell is trapped. The best part about this litter is that it doesn't track like regular cat litter. The old brand stuck to kitty paws and you would find it all over the house. This tofu litter does not track at all. I use a litter trapping mat under the litter box so they step out onto it. The only tracking is right outside the box and the mat catches everything before it goes all over the house. It took a few weeks to get used to how it looks (sort of like rice/noodles). My cats refused it at first, but i added this to their normal litter a scoop at a time until they were completely switched over. I think they actually like it better too. No more cat box smell. No more irritation to my kitty because of heavy perfumes. This is really good stuff.

This has all the good things I would want in a cat litter: low dust, blood detection, clumps well, minimal tracking. Sold! Yes, it's a bit pricey but not more so than other high end litters, especially if you get the 4-pack on subscribe and save. Definitely worth it when you don't want your apartment to smell like a typical cat box.I knocked off a star because scented litters can be a real problem for cats. It has a strong vanilla scent that humans will like, but cats won't. I'm lucky that my cats tolerate it, but I also cut the scent a bit by mixing with an unscented clumping wood litter. It would be way too strong if I didn't do that. Also I use a Modkat box configured for a side entry and I leave the top off, which also keeps the scent from getting too concentrated.I've had no opportunity to test the blood detection, but if it actually works, that's great peace of mind. Both my cats have chronic crystal problems and one needed emergency surgery to remove bladder stones. My vet had recommended another litter that's supposed to change color depending on urine PH, but I found this was unreliable and also the litter has been very dusty. This is a much more sensible option - again, IF it works. Finally - being dependent for litter on Amazon deliveries is not a great situation. I wish my local pet store could carry this. So yet another reason to mix it with another litter I can get locally, in case of supply disruptions. Oh and this is pretty long-lasting. I need the equivalent of 2 bags to fill my big-cat litter box, but I'm only now needing to change the litter and clean the box after ~4 months, and the refill rate is about 1 bag/month for my 2 big Siberian cats. So at current prices, this costs about $15/month, which is not hard to live with and less pricey than what I was using before.
